Fishing the 302

Lat 117 35 00 West 32 26 25 North – my favorite place to fish!

The 302 is in Mexican waters, ensure you have appropriate permits, for all anglers and for your boat.  Species usually found here include: YellowTail, Tuna, Dorado, Skipjack, Marlin, Swordfish, Shark and don’t forget the bigeye tuna!

Directions:

From Mission Bay:

  • Head 207 Southwest for 25 miles
  • 302 Fathom Spot 207 Degrees 25 miles, 1 hr 25 minutes from Mission Bay

From San Diego Bay:

  • Head 222 South for 22 miles
  • THe 224 Fathom Spot 117.47.80 32.44.50 (is the north end of the 302 Fathom spot)
